The walk

The "Mare e Monti", the non competitive free step walk very loved by the foreigners, is a way to spend an open air week-end along with friends, family and walking lovers coming from all over the world.

The mountain tracks (7 - 15 - 20 km) unravel along the paths which connect the coast to the slopes of the Beigua Natural Regional Park as far as the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri with breathtaking view of the sea.

Who prefer the sea to the mountains can choose between the different "Riviera del Beigua" routes. The longest one starts from the new “ De Andrè Promenade” and unwinds through the suggestive cliffs in a vegetation of Mediterranean maquis, goes beyond Cogoleto and Varazze, then it continues towards Celle Ligure,

Among the changes of the 26th edition, the new short route along the socalled “Via dell'Amore”, through the Mediterranean maquis with suggestive patches on the gulf, and the music entertainments with the typical fritters in Campenave, along the track which, pushing further east, passes through the village of Crevari.

As normal for a non – compettive event, the competitive spirit gives way willingly to friendship and cultural exchange. On the occasion, the town brightens with joyful events which icrease the feeling of togederness between the participants of different countries, as the IML Walking Association says: “May walking bring us together”.
