What to see along the "A" path:
Father Rino Refuge (formerly Leveasso House) - It was built as a summer house at the end of the 19th century by a shepherd family. Later on it was named ”Leveasso” because of the hares present in the area. After selling it to the government in 1935, the house was abandoned and went to ruin. Thanks to the Municipality, to the Comunità Montana Argentea and some volunteers’ work, it was renovated in the 80s and afterwards it was dedicated to Father Rino’s memory, a Carmelite friar who died in the Aosta Valley mountains when he was only 36 years old.
Argentea Refuge – It is a destination very frequented by hikers for its location on the road which leads to the Vara Valley and near the Faiallos’ springs. Its building was due to military aims. Recently it was rebuilt by the Municipality and the Comunità Montana Argentea.
