The 2nd day tracks
ROUTE "C"
(6 km, 209 m change in height above sea level)
This is a short walk that goes up from the east of Arenzano. You take the paved pathway that passes beside the charming little church of the Santuario di N.S. delle Olivete, ancient evidence of the devotion of seafarers to the Virgin Mary. You arrive in Terrarossa, so named because of the colour of the earth. This type of soil is very good for the cultivation of strawberries, which Arenzano was famous for after the Second World War. Then you walk through the ancient village of Terrarossa and back to Arenzano.
THE MEDIUM LENGHT ROUTE "B"
(18 km, 870 m change in height above sea level)
You venture into the hinterland behind the Torre dei Saraceni (Saracen Tower) to reach the "Grotte di Noe'" (Noah’s Caves) and then the locality of "Curlo". From here you go on to the Centro Ornitologico di Educazione Ambientale (Environmental Education Bird Watching Centre) to reach the Ca' da Gava (735 m above sea level). Here you will find a steaming dish of trenette al pesto, prepared by the volunteers of the Comitato Manifestazioni Arenzano (Arenzano Events Committee), to sustain walkers. For the younger walkers there is the possibility of taking part in the games prepared by the C.N.G.E.I. scout group. Then you go on to the Passo Gava (752 m), go on up to the Passo Tardie (870 m) and from there go down toward the ex duty-house passing along the southern slopes of the Bric Pigheuggiu and the eastern and northern sloes of Monte Pennone. Here the route descends as far as the Località Campenave (220 m), where you will find another refreshment point with tasting of fritters organized by the volunteers from Crevari. Then you go through this charming village to reach the coastal path that leads to Arenzano.
The birdwatching centre: it is situated inside the "Lerone" State Forest, in the Lissolo river valley and was created by LIPU, the Italian League for Bird Protection, thans to a Regional Government grant with the contributo of the Beigua Park, the Forest State Management, the Arenzano Municipality and the Argentea Mountain Community, and now it is run by the Beigua Park (info@liguriabirding.net). www.liguriabirding.net
LONG ROUTE "A"

From Passo Gava (752 m above sea level) you go on up to reach Monte Reixa (1,183 m above sea level), then down to the Passo Faiallo (1,061 m above sea level) and with a ring-like path you go back down to Passo Gava. From Passo Gava (752 m) you go up to Passo Tardie (870 m) and from there down toward the ex duty-house passing along the southern slopes of the Bric Pigheuggiu and the eastern and northern sloes of Monte Pennone. Here the route descends as far as the Località Campenave (220 m), where you will find another refreshment point with tasting of fritters organized by the volunteers from Crevari. In this locality, where the mules coming from Voltri used to stop over, the landscape is bucolic. Then you go through the charming village of Crevari to reach the coastal path that leads to Arenzano.
What there is to see on route "A":
The village of Crevari This village perched on the mountain is charming thanks to the old, cobbled mule tracks, which were once trodden by mules coming from Voltri, the only means of transport for goods. The landscape is dominated by dry-stone walls. Then one comes across olive groves, chestnut woods and other types of spontaneous vegetation.
